Example Events Calendar

Below is a snapshot of the sorts of events we have happening this term.

To access the current interactive calendar, you need to be a member of the website – to join us is EASY just fill in the registration form.

If you have any questions feel free to contact us.

New members are limited to attending events that are held in public places, once you know us and we know you, we can change you to a full membership profile and you will be able to see any events held in peoples homes.

Some events have openings regularly and some are more difficult to jump in on part way through a term, if you aren’t sure, email us and we can find out for you.

ALL MEMBERSHIP LEVELS ARE FREE – however some individual events will have costs associated with them.

All Ages Catchup

During the warmer months we get out and enjoy the many parks and gardens around the city. In the colder months we find a community hall to meet in.

Dungeons and Dragons

This popular boardgame give the children a chance to run the campaign and also to enjoy the adventure their peers create. Generally a group is filled for a whole term at once

Over 10s

A chance for the older co-hort to get together without the smaller siblings. A range of activities catering to the older members of our group

Swimming Lessons

At various times we venture to the pool and some holidays there are block course swimming lessons

Seasonal Markets

This is a chance for the children to create their own wares, run their own stalls and buy from their friends.

Adult Planning Hui

A few times a term the grownups get together to plan the coming events and sometimes there is even shared kai!

English Country/Regency Dancing

While it is a public lesson, several of our teens go to the classes and the end of year ball, and Kate gives ODH a 50% discount on the classes

Arts and Crafts

There are a variety of events happening as people organise them, painting classes, crochet, sewing, woodwork, blacksmithing. Each term is different!

Big celebrations

Be it a bonfire at Matariki, or a viking feast, or a family camping trip – there are usually some big community events smattered through the year
