There are so many options when it comes to homeschooling in Dunedin!
Below are a list of the homeschooling groups and links to their Facebook pages or groups.
Each group has a different flavour but all are filled with wonderful people and many overlap several groups.
We advise you visit several activities and find a bunch of people that suit you and your family the best!
Supporting Home Educators and Families (SHEAF)
With a 20-something year history SHEAF is Dunedins oldest homeschool group and it is well known for its over 10s activities. There are several things happening most weeks, you can see what they are up to on meetup: https://www.meetup.com/SHEAF-Dunedin/events/calendar/
Dunedin Homeschoolers United (DHU)
Born during the 2020 influx of homeschoolers over the covid period, DHU has continued to be home to a group of Dunedin families that meet several times a week. Check out their schedule here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/httpslinktr.eedunedinhomeschoolersunited/
Dunedin Homeschool Village
A more recent addition to the Dunedin homeschooling network, DHV is focused on supporting both new and established families. An all ages group, they hold several activities each week, both regular and one-off and will be running a co-op style class one day a week as well. Dunedin Christian Homeschoolers

The Dunedin Homeschooling Collective
TDHC provides a welcoming, friendly collaborative space where all Dunedin and Otago groups can share their open events. They also host weekly events of their own as well as one-off, special events such as science fair, cultural day and more. Everyone is welcome.
